Sacre Coeur and Montmartre – Paris

 

Sacre Coeur and Montmartre is the Roman Catholic Church from the ancient times. This is more like a junior basilica that has political, cultural and political importance in the city. This is a beautifully white building that looks like a sculptured model of plaster of Paris. Originally it is made with travertine stone that remains white. A lot of tourists visit this basilica as it has a prominent importance in the catholic community. There is a guest house where visitors can stay.

 

The sanctuary is also very famous along with the basilica building. People who come here for pilgrimage get a proper place to live along with the eating area and other guidance activities are organized. During the celebration a lot of people come here and stay for some hours or some days. Paris’ largest grand organ is placed in this building where as all the walls are adorned with figures of angels and animals.

Entire building is very well adorned and beautifully designed to attract the attention of the visitors. On different occasions special prayers are arranged that is attended by people from everywhere. On Easter, Christmas and other religious occasions the basilica is beautifully adorned and prayers make it more outstanding.
