CheckPoint Charlie & Museum – Berlin
The beautiful Berlin is divided into two parts due to the cold war. The border or wall between both parts of Berlin is known as check point Charlie. It is regarded as the symbol of the cold war where as now it stands among the major tourist attractions. During the Berlin crisis in the ancient times this place had tanks and other war equipments. The place was marked and immigration became mandatory to reach the other side. With the passage of time for the political and economical purposes, wall was constructed. Check point Charlie museum is more like the monument to remember those who tried to escape from the taken area. Their pictures and details are placed for the memorial. This was a very little space that can be called as apartment. Space became a big reason for its criticism where as many people appreciated this place by regarding it as the monument of those people who tried. This is called as the freedom memorial and is the most visited museum of the entire Berlin. Basically the people, who visit this place, admire the procedures and ways those people adapted to escape. The museum is very informative but very small in size about one and a half room. However things are displayed in more than one language to make it understandable for maximum visitors. This can be interestingly added in the list of places to be visited in Berlin because it introduces the visitor to the ancient Berlin.
