River Thames has an amazing site at its bank. It is the historical castle the tower is very famous. This place has a very important role in the history of the country. Tower was controlled to control the country. The layout of the medieval castle and tower was designed in the twelfth century. An amazing medieval construction reflects the ancient history and provides a chance to the new generations to know about the controlling and warfare of the ancient times. This thing also gives the knowledge about various planning and extensive ideas that were used in that era.
Tower was basically used for the terrifying purposes and was the main place to keep the people under the control of the kings. There is a huge display of arms and armor that were utilized for the purposes. White tower is said to be as the site of tortures to the prisoners and slaves. There were different types of axes and arrows used along with other equipments of the medieval era. Ravens are the most interesting example of that time. They are huge sized crows which are fed on biscuits dipped in the blood.
It is the tradition coming from the ancient tower history. Raven master takes care of the food and training of the crows. They protect the tower when it is attacked. Visitors are restricted to feed the crows while being on the tour of tower because they can bite or harm the visitors if they feel like tower is being attacked. This is an interesting site having many historical collection kept in different parts of the building and in the museum.
